The official representatives of the EU member states approved sanctions against nine people responsible for the organization of the so-called elections on the East of Ukraine, as Rikard Jozwiak, Radio Liberty correspondent, wrote on Twitter.
EU ambassadors have decided to sanctions 9 people responsible for organizing the "elections" in eastern #Ukraine in November. EU foreign ministers will rubber stamp the decision on 10 December. #Russia

At the same time, the correspondent did not specify the names of these individuals.
Earlier, the correspondent informed that the EU member states were going to impose sanctions against five people responsible for the attack in Salisbury till Christmas.
As is known, self-proclaimed leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk people's 'republics' organized and held the so-called election of the local authorities, namely the 'people's councils' and 'governors'. Neither Ukraine nor the international community recognized it.
The Ukrainian delegation in Minsk trilateral contact group demanded to disband the self-styled authorities and facilities in the occupied territories.
