The EU allocated more than 12 billion euros to Ukraine during the last three years as Hugues Mingarelli, the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine claimed this at the conference as RBK-Ukraine reported.
‘Ukraine is a country-prioritized partner for the EU. It is one of the biggest neighbors with which we share four borders and the partner that made a clear pro-European choice. That is why the EU is interested in the success of the reforms in Ukraine. We mobilized more than 12 billion euros during the last three years, including 3.4 billion euros of the macro-financial support that is the largest macro-financial support that we ever allocated’, Mingarelli claimed.
He noted that the EU did not do more for any country before.
The European Commission plans to allocate 200 million euros to Ukraine in 2017. The EU and Denmark earlier allocated 16 million euros for the fight against the corruption in Ukraine. Moreover, the EU allocated 3 million euros to Ukraine for the implementation of the projects of the Agriculture Development Strategy.
