The EU allocated 700 million euros of the humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the citizens who live on the territory that suffers from the conflict since 2014. Federica Mogherini, the Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy and Security Policy claimed this as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

‘The EU allocated 700 million euros of the humanitarian aid for the citizens who live on the territory suffering from the conflict. It also includes the new tranche in the sum of 24 million euros that the EU passes to prolong the EU SMM. And now we work on the new support package in the total sum of 16 million euros. It shows that we provide not only the financial support but also the support concerning the human resources and it aims to provide the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine that is also important for the security of the EU’, Mogherini claimed.

As we reported, the European Commission supported the allocation of the macro-financial aid in the sum of one billion euro to Ukraine.
