President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is to pay working visit to Ukraine “in the nearest months”. As the Turkish head of state noted, he hopes that this visit will give impetus to the relationship with Ukraine. Erdogan reported this in a congratulation to Ukrainian President Poroshenko on establishing diplomatic ties between the countries, according to Ukrainian administration press service.
“Apparently, our good relations with friendly Ukraine will continue to improve in the nearest future. Turkey will certainly support the decision on solving issues in the region based on principles of preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our strategic partner – Ukraine,” Erdogan noted.
Poroshenko also expressed hope for further cooperation between the countries and stressed Turkey’s devotion to the rules of international law and solidarity with Ukraine.
