Antonio Tajani, the President of the European Parliament, signed a document stating to provided $1,16 billion macro-financial assistance for Ukraine, as Mykola Tochytskyi, Ukraine’s Representative to the EU and to the European Atomic Energy Community, wrote on Twitter.
Decision of the EP and the Council providing the Macro-financial assistance to Ukraine amounting 1bn EUR has been signed today by President Tajani and Austrian Presidency on the eve of 20th UA-EU Summit. Earlier, on May 16 the European Parliament Committee on International Affairs voted for the provision of the macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. Yet, the Committee added an amendment on the need to renew the composition of the Central Electoral Commission.
