Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, Association of Ukrainians in Finland, with the assistance of Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine held the day of Crimea in Helsinki on October 29. It is reported by the press service of the embassy.

During the event, guests have been watching films about Crimea, in particular, about the annexation of the peninsula.

The event was attended by diplomats, accredited in Helsinki, representatives of the Finnish society and Ukrainian community in Finland.

Also, took place the Skype conference with Chairman of Mejlis Refat Chubarov.

Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014 as a result of the illegal referendum, which is not recognized by the world community. The Russian government believes that the peninsula is under the sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
