Information about the possible three-year suspension of Ukraine from participating in Eurovision - is only rumors. This was stated by the Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyshchuk in an interview with, answering the question whether this situation can really end so for Ukraine.

According to him, the information about the possible disqualification of Ukraine because of the scandal in relation to the participant from the Russian Federation has not yet been confirmed.

"I am not yet ready to comment on this situation, because information about the disqualification of Ukraine for three years is just rumors. We do not have any official letters to talk about this, " Nyshchuk said.

"Ukraine is an open multicultural country, but the situation with the representative of the Russian Federation at the Eurovision Song Contest is an obvious provocation, and here everyone understood in advance that there are specific laws of Ukraine. We are actually at war. Every country has a law and the issue of law is not discussed. Therefore, we did everything in the way the law demanded, "the minister explained.

As previously reported, the organizers of the Eurovision allowed the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation and Ukraine for violation of the charter of contest.
