Covid-19: Overall number of cases in Ukraine exceeds 60,000

Over the past 24 hours, 673 new cases of infection have been observed

60,166 people have been infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine. This is evidenced by data published by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Thus, 673 new cases of coronavirus infection have been observed in the last 24 hours. 32,199 people have successfully recovered and 1,518 have succumbed to the disease.

Meanwhile, the global incidence of coronavirus has exceeded 14 million. The United States is leading with nearly four million cases.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country was ready for the second wave of the coronavirus infection.

"The current situation is that we must be constantly prepared, but we should not exaggerate the reaction. Today there are no critical outbreaks or any 'red spots' related to the spread of coronavirus infection within the country. The quantitative threshold of those who have recovered has exceeded 50%. We are ready for the second wave, but we hope that it will pass us by," he said.
