The authorities of Canada invited the new President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to visit the country on June 2. Canadian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk stated that, as Radio Svoboda reported.
“It (the invitation, - 112 International) was personally given, at least, by the phone. And both sides will cope with the documents,” Vashchuk said.
According to the ambassador, Canada will hold a conference on supporting reforms in Ukraine on this day, June 2.
Vashchuk added that Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau expects the arrival of the President and other officials from Ukraine.
“Although we understand that the elections campaign will be in Ukraine at that time,” the Ambassador pointed out.
Earlier, the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel had a phone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Volodymyr Zelensky. Steffen Seibert, the official representative of Germany’s Government said they discussed the course of implementation of Minsk agreements.
