Boryspil International Airport heads ACI Europe rating

Boryspil increased its dynamics by 22.2 percent and overtook the airports of Athens, Warshaw, and Budapest

Boryspil International Airport headed ACI Europe, the International Airports Council rating based on the results of May.

The airport takes the first place among other major airports, according to the results. The press office of the airport reports this on their page on Facebook.

ACI Europe ranked 229 airports, which represent 88 percent of the European passenger traffic.

Boryspil International Airport is the biggest Ukrainian Airport. It accounted for 67 percent of all passenger traffic through the airports of Ukraine, according to the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine. The airport set his record on the number of serviced travelers in the amount of 8.65 million, which is 19 percent more than in the previous year. The passenger flow has been growing yet for the third year in a row mainly due to the share of transfer passenger traffic. Last year it grew by 50 percent to 2.3 million passengers and amounted 27 percent of the total volume.

As it was reported earlier, Boryspil Airport serviced more than 2.3 million passengers for the first quarter of 2018.
