US politician, US presidential candidate, and 47 US Vice President Joe Biden commented on a transcript of a telephone conversation between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump on July 25, 2019. On his Twitter page, he expressed the view that Trump should be held responsible for the abuse of power.

“Our president put personal politics above his sacred oath. The House must do its job and hold Donald Trump to account for his abuse of power. I will do mine, making my case for a presidency that will mean real help for those in our country who need it most,” Biden wrote.

The politician believes that the current American leader has put his interests above the interests of national security, which supports Ukraine against the pressure of Russia.

"This is an affront to every American and the founding values of our country. This is not a Republican issue or a Democratic issue. It is a national security issue," Biden said, adding that it is also a test of state's democratic values.

As we reported earlier, Donald Trump allowed the White House to release a transcript of its conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky in July. A number of US media outlets have leaked information about a phone call that threatened Trump with impeachment.
