President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has deprived three Ukrainian athletes of their state grants for the doping abuse. This is mentioned in the presidential decree.

According to the document, the state grants will be taken away from Natalia Davydova, Olha Korobka and Oleksiy Torokhtiy. They all were Olympic medalists; however, all three were busted with the use of performance-enhancing drugs. They had their medals taken away from them, too.

Earlier, Yulia Yelistratova, the Ukrainian triathlonist was suspended from the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The anti-doping authority claimed that they detected erythropoetin in her body.

We previously reported that Ukrainian wrestler Kejau Nyabali got disqualified in the Round of the Last 16 of judo competition held within the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. The National Olympic Committee reported that on Facebook.

The judges apparently decided that Nyabali performed a banned move, the elbow lock.

"I disagree witt the judges' decision. I don't think I did an illegal move. The opponent screamed, and this played a crucial part, the judges considered my actions a joint lock. I did a simple swoop. Leaving the competition just like that hurts a lot", Nyabali said.

It's the second Olympics for the Ukrainian athlete. Performing in the weight category under 90 kilograms, Nyabali started great, defeating Robert Florentino from the Dominican Republic. His opponent in the Round of the Last 16 was Davlat Bobonov from Uzbekistan.
