Ukrainian boxer will try to become world champion for the second time

Postol and Ramirez will fight in the main event of Top Rank boxing event, according to ESPN. The contract for the title bout has not been signed yet. The venue for the upcoming bout is to be announced.

"I'm an official contender, we started negotiating. We agreed for a fight to take place on November 30, but after Ramirez became WBO World Champion, he injured his arm. He had surgery and, as I have heard, negotiations are being made in order to wait for a bit and make a fight in early February of 2020. Promoters are doing their best to keep both of Ramirez’s titles at stake," Postol said.

As we reported earlier, Viktor Postol owned the WBC Championship Belt for a short period of time in 2015-2016.

Meanwhile, this October is a gift to Ukrainian boxing fans. The debut of Oleksandr Usyk in the heavyweight division, the unification bout between Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Artur Beterbiev, the next home show from Denis Berynchyk and the middleweight title bout between Sergiy Derevyanchenko and boxing legend Gennady Golovkin.
