Head of Matchroom Boxing promotional company Eddie Hearn provided new information on a long-awaited heavyweight fight between Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) and Dereck Chisora (32-9, 23 KOs), Sky Sports reports.
As it was stated by Hearn, Usyk is in good condition and just needed some extra time on his left elbow.
"He is training, He is in full camp, The Chisora fight is done. The terms are great for this fight," Usyk's co-promoter noted.
According to Hearn, May 23 is a potential date for the heavyweight showdown and it is O2 Arena that would host it.
As we reported earlier, Dereck Chisora admitted the possibility of being outboxed in his bout against Oleksandr Usyk.
"He is a good fighter, this will be a big fight, he is going to box me out, but we will see."
However, the Briton intends to give former cruiserweight champion a brutal introduction to the heavyweight division.
The fight was supposed to take place in March, but it was postponed due to the Usyk's left elbow. As it was stated by the Ukrainian fighter himself, everything is great and he is injury-free.
