Oleksandr Usyk, Ukrainian world champion in heavyweight, defended his titles in Manchester.
From the very beginning of the fight, Usyk was unusually inactive and used right jab mostly. Bellew didn’t like it at all, he wanted to fight. Tony managed to use his powerful side and straight punches against Usyk.
The Ukrainian increased his pace by the middle of the fight and started boxing with the left hand. Bellew was skipping a beat but never forgot to hit in response. Suddenly, the British boxer fell on the ring, Usyk performed last punch with the left hand and defeated him.
Reportedly, the fight became the 16th victory in Oleksandr’s career. 12 of them ended in victory.
“You are the greatest fighter I have ever shared a ring with, you are a great champion, you beat me fair and square,” said Bellew after the game, The Telegraph reported.
