Former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk responded to Tyson Fury's recent comments on Ukrainian's position in WBO ranking.
Fury directed a tweet towards WBO President Paco Valcarcel, who suggested the Gypsy King face Uzbeki prospect Bakhodir Jalolov.
“Maybe if you had not removed me from number 1 ranked WBO! And put some cruiserweight bum with 1 fight at heavyweight then you could have a say! Haha,” Gypsy King wrote.
Tyson's fume over Usyk's ranking seemed unreasonable because of his previous history with WBO: Fury was never at the top of the WBO rankings.
Ukrainian boxer was subtle in his reaction: he posted a 'story' on his Instagram page with a short text in it - "Tyson, do not cry. #1 WBO".
As we reported earlier, there is a big possibility that WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is going to choose Kubrat Pulev as his next opponent.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk will get the opportunity to fight for vacated WBO title due to Briton’s noncompliance with the organization’s obligations.
