The US olympic national team ahead of schedule guaranteed to itself the first place in the unofficial medal standings at the Olympics-2016.
The American team has won for a total of 43 gold medals. The main contenders remain the United Kingdom and China, who have won 27 and 26 gold medals respectively. At the Olympics there are left to play another 19 sets of medals.
Ukraine currently in the overall medal standings has 28th place.
