18-year-old Dayana Yastremska and Wang Qiang from China met in the finals of the Open Tennis Championship in Hongkong.  

It took the third best tennis player of Ukraine two sets to win. Yastremska gave only three games in two sets by spending a little more than an hour for the final. Yastremska will receive $163 thousand for the victory.

Dayana Yastremska became the youngest tennis player who reached the final of the WTA in singles and won the title aged 18.

Another Ukrainian athlete, Lesya Tsurenko also made it to the Round of Last 16 by beating the famous Danish Caroline Wozniacki; on Monday evening, she will stand against Czech Marketa Vondrusova.

Earlier, Svitolina refused to speak to Eurosport Russia journalist after the victory in Round 1 of the US Open. The outlet's producer Maksim Yanchevsky reported that via Twitter. 'Elina Svitolina refused to speak to Eurosport Russia on the court after the victory in Round 1 of the US Open. She said 'I'm sorry, I can't' (in Russian) as she exited the court. In January 2018, everything was fine,' Yanchevsky wrote.
