Ukrainian judoka Mahomedov wins bronze medal at Paralympics

Ukrainian Rufat Mahomedov won a bronze medal in judo (weight category up to 73 kg) at the 2020 Paralympics. This was reported on the official website of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

Mahomedov defeated Vasiliy Kutuev from the RPC (Russian Paralympic Committee) in the fight for the bronze medal. This medal became the 26th award of the Ukrainian team at the current Games.

Earlier, we reported that Ukrainian swimmer Anna Stetsenko became the champion of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Today, the final at the women's 400m freestyle S13 took place. The victory belonged to Ukrainian Anna Stetsenko, who hopped Carlotta Gilli from Italy and Katja Dedekind from Australia.

The 2020 Paralympic Games have started in Tokyo on August 24. The games will last from August 24 until September 5, 2021. About 4,400 athletes from 160 countries participate in the Paralympic Games.

About a hundred athletes come to Tokyo Paralympics from Ukraine. They participate in different competitions, particularly, archery, paracanoe, shooting, table tennis, and others. The biggest team in the Ukrainian Paralympic team is swimmers – 40 athletes.
