Previously, we also wrote that midfielder of the national football team of Ukraine Taras Stepanenko will continue to play for Shakhtar Donetsk until summer 2024. The press office of the Mountaineers confirmed that on Friday.

The club and the player prolonged the deal, according to which the new contract is going to expire on June 30, 2024.

"Staying in Shakhtar for quite a while, meeting the level and ambitions of the team, which is a great achievement for me. I hope I'll be writing the story together with the club for as long as I can. Shakhtar always aims the highest. We always want to win, and I will pay most effort. This is why I've been staying here for such a long while and why I'm staying for the term of the new deal", Stepanenko commented on the new contract.
