Ukrainian athlete Vladyslav Bukhov has set a world and European junior swimming record. The swimmer managed to overcome the distance of 50 meters in butterfly style in 23.14 seconds at the tournament in Luxembourg, Swimming Federation of Ukraine reports.

Bukhov finished second, and another Ukrainian Andriy Govorov took the first place. It took him 23.07 seconds to overcome the 50-meter butterfly stroke.

Moreover, Ukrainian Mykhailo Romanchuk has set a new record of competitions in the distance of 1,5 thousand meters in freestyle – 14 minutes, 53.38 sec. And Ukrainian athlete Daryna Zevina won the 100m backstroke – she finished in 1 min, 1.26 sec.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk won a gold medal in the 1500m freestyle swimming at the World Championships in Hangzhou, China. It was reported by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine on its Facebook page.

"Mykhailo Romanchuk is a world champion! The final swim in the 1500m freestyle at the World Championships in short course in Hangzhou, China ended with a brilliant victory of the Ukrainian swimmer," the report says.
