Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko had his 13th fight in professional boxing.
The opponent of the Ukrainian was Puerto Rican José Pedraza. At the beginning of the fight, Vasyl kept a distance from his rival, José wasn’t really active neither, however, he tried to use combinations.
From the beginning of the fight, Lomachenko started hitting Pedraza in the head and body. In response, the Puerto Rican tried to perform attacks and stayed pretty confident. In the sixth round, the Ukrainian increased his speed and perfectly performed punches. Yet in the seventh round, José held several excellent series on the body.
After that, during the next following rounds, the boxers performed a series of dangerous hits. In the 11th round, Pedraza missed a blow to the head and he lost control. Lomachenko tried to finish off the opponent quickly, but José managed to get away with it and stayed on the ring for a long time. But still, after one-two punch in the head, he fell on the floor. The referee counted out the knockdown, he got up, after which he was knockdown for the second time. Once again, he got up and waited for the gong. In the 12th it has already been obvious that Lomachenko would win. The judges' notes were unambiguous: 119: 107, 117: 109, 117: 109.
