On March 17, Ukrainian boxer Dmytro Lisovyi got into a fatal road accident in the Kyiv region. This was reported by the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
Daewoo Lanos and Audi clashed on Kyiv-Znamenka highway near Kyiv. Lisovyi was behind the wheel and it was him who caused the accident.
"According to preliminary reports, a 22-year-old Daewoo driver went out during a forbidden red traffic signal and collided with an Audi car. As a result of the crash, a 22-year-old driver and a 24-year-old Daewoo passenger were killed at the scene. The driver of the second car is now in hospital," the police stated.
Dmytro Lisovyi was 22 years old. He is a three-time Ukrainian national championship silver medalist - in 2015, 2016, 2017.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk asked American reporters to call him 'Aleksandr' instead of its Ukrainian equivalent - 'Oleksandr'.
"My name is Aleksandr, not Oleksandr. Call me Aleksandr. Aleksandr is in Russian, Oleksandr - in Ukrainian. But I am Aleksandr," Usyk stated.
