The 2020 Paralympic Games ended in Tokyo, where the Ukrainian national team did not have enough to win a hundred medals.

At the Games in the capital of Japan, the Ukrainian national team won 98 medals - 24 gold, 47 silver and 27 bronze. Ukraine took sixth place in the overall standings.

This is the second highest number of medals in the history of our team's performance at the Paralympics. Ukraine had more awards only in 2016 in Rio - 117 medals.

It should be noted that this year the most titled Paralympian was the Ukrainian - swimmer Maksym Kripak- he won 7 awards in Japan. He won five gold medals, silver and bronze.

The 2020 Paralympic Games have started in Tokyo on August 24. The games lasted from August 24 until September 5, 2021. About 4,400 athletes from 160 countries participated in the Paralympic Games.

About a hundred athletes came to Tokyo Paralympics from Ukraine. They participated in different competitions - archery, paracanoe, shooting, table tennis, and others. The biggest team in the Ukrainian Paralympic team is swimmers (40 athletes).
