On January 29, Ukrainian athletes Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Yulia Levchenko got the first prize places at the Springer-Meeting tournament, which was held in the German city of Cottbus. This was reported by the press service of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine.
"The favorites in the high jumping were the two Ukrainians, the leaders of the world season, Yulia Levchenko and Yaroslava Mahuchikh . It was an intense collision, which would determine the winner. Yaroslava Mahuchikh conquered 1.98 meters and won, while Yulia Levchenko placed second with the result of 1.96 meters," the message reads.
The third place was taken by Kamila Lićwinko, Poland's athlete (1.94 m).
The Springer-Meeting tournament has been held for the 18th consecutive year. His program has traditionally included high jumping among women and pole vaulting among men.

"2.01 (meters, - 112 International) is my personal record on premises. The next start in Cottbus is January 29 (Germany - eds.) We will compete and show good results," Mahuchikh said after winning the Demyanjuk Memorial in Lviv.
