Ukrainian Olena Kostevych won a gold medal in 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in South Korea. According to the National Olympic Committee, the Ukrainian won in shooting competitions from a small-caliber pistol from 25 meters. 

At the final stage, Kostevich won the Russian Vitalina Batsarashkina, for this the Ukrainian needed an additional series. 

Apart from the gold medal of the world champion, Kostevych has also received a license for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan.
