Forward of Ukraine's national team Roman Yaremchuk has debuted in SL Benfica. He appeared on the pitch in the second half of UEFA Champions League qualification fixture against Spartak Moscow.
The Ukrainian replaced Goncalo Ramos; at the time, the Portuguese were leading the way. Yaremchuk helped Benfica secure the victory; he landed a shot, the ball ricocheted from Spartak's defender Samuel Gigot and ended up in the net.
Thus, Benfica defeated Spartak in both games and proceeded to the qualification playoffs where it is supposed to face PSV.
Kyiv hosted the fixture of Round 3 of UEFA Champions League's qualification. Shakhtar Donetsk and KRC Genk crossed their swords for a slot in the qualification playoffs.
Since the very beginning of the game, Mountaineers took the ball and used short passes, thus counteracting the opponent's pressure. In the middle of the first half, the home team opened the score; Tete assisted Traore who sent the ball into the net from the penalty area.
Shakhtar carried on with their initiative. Belgians also had their moments, but their shoits were too wide, and sometimes the ball would hit the crossbar. Then, the Ukrainian team scored another goal - thanks to the efforts of Marcos Antonio.
