Oleksandr Usyk, Ukraine's undefeated ex-champion of the world in the heavyweight category will hold his next bout in Chicago on October 12. His manager Egis Klimas reported that on his Instagram page.

Wintrust Arena in Chicago will host the fight; however, the opponent's name has not been disclosed yet. It was supposed to be Cameroonian Carlos Takam, but he changed his promotion company and, thus, the Ukrainian had to find a new opponent.

Previously, Usyk told the press he would be glad to meet with American Deontay Wilder in the ring. He said so in his interview with Sky News.

"Wilder... he has a belt. I don't need any adaptation to the heavyweight division. When I moved to cruiserweight, I lost several kilograms... But right now, I have my own natural weight. With every single training, we implement some new stuff all the time", Usyk said, answering the questions about his future opponent, moving to another weight division and peculiarities of his training mode.

Thus, Usyk claimed he would prefer the American over British fighters Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, the other two possible opponents in his weight category.
