It is worth mentioning that Euro-2020 will be the third tournament in history for the national team of Ukraine. Previously, Ukrainians played at home Euro in 2012 and then went to France in 2016.

Head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko commented on his team’s victory over the national team of Portugal, Football 1 channel reported.

“First of all, I keep my promises. I congratulate all of Ukraine. I promised that the team would qualify and go to Euro-2020. I think the team was able to stand for the last 15 minutes just because of the support of our tribunes. The guys know how many people cheer for the football now, for the national team. I believe this is an extra motivation for each of them," Shevchenko said.
