Ukraine's national football team dropped in FIFA ranking

The International Football Association (FIFA) has updated its ranking of national teams of the world, website of the organization reports.

The national team of Belgium leads the rating. Second place belongs to France, followed by Brazil. The Ukrainian national team has been dropped two positions bellow and now occupies 24th place in the updated rating.

As we reported earlier, the games of the qualification round of UEFA Euro 2020 are over. 20 teams made their way to the finals, and another four are yet to do so after the playoffs in March 2020.

Ukraine's team won in its qualification group, and the Netherlands came second in their group; the teams ended up in different pots, but now their paths will cross in the competition's finals. The draw procedure will take place on November 30.

According to the head coach of Ukraine's national team, his players are in the process of developing their own signature style of play.

"I am glad the qualification came out very good. In my opinion, it is the first time in history we went through without defeat. I am very grateful to the guys for the game - it was not easy. Moreover, our fans did not have an opportunity to come and support us, which is very important for us,” Shevchenko stated.
