WBA flyweight champion Artem Dalakian will have his fourth title defense on February 8, 2020. The fight will take place in Kyiv. Ukrainian boxer is expected to defend his title against 24-year-old Josber Perez from Venezuela.
Perez made his professional debut in April 2016. As of now, his record consists of 17 wins (12 KOs) and two losses. Josber was nicknamed "Avalancha" due to this relentless fighting style. It will be Perez's debut fight in Europe, and he has already stated that he intends to return to Venezuela with Artem's championship belt.
Artem Dalakian's fight will headline the boxing event organized by Union Boxing Promotion. Dalakian is the only Ukrainian boxer who has had all of his title defenses in Ukraine.
Dalakian won the WBA title at Inglewood on February 24, 2018, defeating American Brian Viloria via unanimous decision.
As we reported earlier, Oleksandr Krassyuk, promoter of former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, commented on the process of negotiating on Ukrainian’s next bout, iFL TV informed.
"We have not yet decided on the date or the opponent. The plan is that it will be Chisora, but I cannot say for sure. Most likely, it will be this way - first Chisora and then Joshua," Krassyuk informed.
