Today, the achievements of the Ukrainian team at the Paralympics in Tokyo were replenished with two silver medals - they were won by Ihor Tsvietov and Maryna Mazhula. This was reported by Isport.

Ukrainian athlete Ihor Tsvietov became the silver medalist in the 200-meter race (class T35), showing a result of 23.25 seconds.

This medal was the second for Tsvietov in Tokyo. Previously, he won silver in the 100m race.

In addition, earlier today the Ukrainian Majula won the silver medal at the Paralympics in rowing. This medal became the first one for the 38-year-old athlete in Tokyo. 

In the medal standings of the Summer Games in Tokyo, the Ukrainian Paralympic team occupies 5th place. The Ukrainian Paralympians have already won 96 awards: 24 gold, 46 silver, 26 bronze.

Earlier, Ukrainian Maksym Krypak has won the fifth gold medal at the men’s medley, setting the new Paralympic record in 200 m.

The 2020 Paralympic Games have started in Tokyo on August 24. The games will last from August 24 until September 5, 2021. About 4,400 athletes from 160 countries participate in the Paralympic Games.

About a hundred athletes come to Tokyo Paralympics from Ukraine. They participate in different competitions, particularly, archery, paracanoe, shooting, table tennis, and others. The biggest team in the Ukrainian Paralympic team is swimmers – 40 athletes.
