Ukraine will pay more than $3.4 million to the winners of 2018 Winter Paralympic Games as Mykola Danevych, the Deputy Sports Minister reported on Facebook.

‘We inform the community that the state will pay our champions and winners of 2018 Winter Paralympic Games the monetary awards in the total sum of more than $3.4 million. The Paralympic athletes will get $125, 000 for the first place, $80, 000 for the second and $55, 000 for the third place’, Danevych wrote.

The deputy minister published the copy of the proper order of the ministry with his sign where the total sum of the monetary awards is $3, 44 million.

The 2018 Winter Paralympic Games took place in Pyeongchang on March 9-18. More than 500 athletes from 48 countries gathered in South Korea. They competed in six disciplines. Totally, 80 medal sets were played.

The National Team of Ukraine in Pyeongchang was presented by 33 athletes. Ukraine took the sixth place in the medal ranking. Ukrainian athletes won 22 medals: 7 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze.
