Ukraine placed its bid for hosting the women's Euro 2025 tournament. Press office of the Ukrainian Association of Football reported that on November 5.
Ukraine filed a joint application, along with France, Poland and Switzerland; Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden will compete for the opportunity, too. UEFA Executive Committee is going to choose the place in December 2022.
In 2018, Ukraine hosted the final of women's UEFA Champions League. Wolfsburg and Lyon played at Dynamo stadium in Kyiv (1-4).
Women's European football championship was first played in 1984; Swedes celebrated the victory. In 1993-2013, Germany dominated in this competition. In 2017, the Dutch team won the tournament hosted in their home country. England is about to host women's Euro 2022.
