Had Zorya used all the chances to score, the interesting and tense fixture could have ended up differently. The Ukrainian squad lost the first goal in the game early in the first half as Jorgensen opened the score. However, sharply before the half-time, Zorya’s Forster made the odds even again – upon the spot kick, initially parried by Feyenoord’s goalie Jones.
The second half was rich for nice moments; Zorya controlled the ball for most of the time but failed to complete many passes and, subsequently, the attacks. Feyenoord held out there long enough to keep the score.
The draw left Zorya outside the playoffs of UEFA Europa League; the team only managed to score one point in the draw with Fenerbahce. Two points are absolutely not enough to continue performance in the League.
Manchester United and Feyenoord are the ones in Group A who made it to the playoffs.
