Dynamo Kyiv and Brugge KV played the second leg of the fixture of UEFA Europa League's Round of the last 32. The match took place in Belgium on Thursday night.
After a brief warm-up, the home team took control over the ball. Dynamo relied on counterattacks, but nothing came out of it. Brugge could not create any good opportunities to open the score, either - although the Belgians managed to bring the ball close enough to the opponent's penalty box.
Brugge was losing the game on the aggregate, so they needed to score, while Dynamo merely played as number two, waiting for an opportunity. By the end of the game, Kyivites managed to wear down the reigning champion of Belgium; Vitaliy Buyalsky scored after the low cross by Viktor Tsygankov. Soon after that, Dynamo could double the advantage but Simon Mignolet coped with Mykola Shaparenko's strike.
Thus, both Ukrainian teams - Dynamo and Shakhtar Donetsk - that are currently performing in the League's playoffs made their way to the next round.
