UEFA Euro 2020 postponed until 2021

The UEFA decided to delay the European football championship, Euro 2020 until the next year's summer.  The authority made the desision after consultations with national football federations, club representatives and the International Federation of Associations of Professional Footballers. The parties discussed reaction to the pandemic of Covid-19 in the world.

The competition was supposed to kick off in 12 European cities on June 12. Now, the new estimated date is June 11, 2021.

Last week, UEFA stopped this season's drawing of Champions League and Europa League. The Association wants all European associations to resume the season simultaneously after the quarantine is over. All games are supposed to be over by June 30 - including fixtures of European cups.

Currently, all football competitions are suspended worldwide. Quarantine is imposed in many cubs. However, Chinese football federation already claimed it was ready to resume the footbal season on April 18.

As we reported before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians regarding the country's complete closure of air traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic. 112 Ukraine TV channel conducted the broadcast. Three days after that, Ukraine closed regular flights with other countries. Cargo checkpoints in airports, railroads, seaports and roadways will continue to operate.
