Zaporizhya, southeastern Ukraine hosted the Round 2 fixture of UEFA Conference League. Zorya Luhansk stood against AS Roma.
After an early goal in the first half, Viktor Skrypnyk's team got its act together and kept the opponents away from their goals for a while. But the Romans clearly had no intention to stop at just one goal, and two more followed in the second half. The Italian team was simply stronger and definitely far more experienced than their Ukrainian opponents.
Earlier, Shakhtar Donetsk and Inter Milan played the game of Round 2 group stage of UEFA Champions League. The match took place at the NSC Olimpiysky stadium.
Shakhtar started lively, but neither Mountaineers nor Nerri Azzurri managed to open the score. Manor Solomon and Nicolo Barella lost their chances in the first half. The Ukrainian team took the ball and went for several well-lanned attacks. Inter did not expect such speed from their opponent, but they still coped with all sorts of threats coming from Shakhtar.
In the second half, Shakhtar kept the ball and did not give it back. The guests endured, and eventually got a chance to score. They would do so, if it wasn't for Andriy Pyatov, the Ukrainian goalkeeper. He parried the shots by Joaquin Correa and Stefan de Vrij, keeping the score 0-0.
