Maryan Shved, the winger of Celtic FC and the national team of Ukraine played the first official match for his new team; he previously moved from Karpaty Lviv.
The club from Glasgow came to Estonia for the UEFA Champions League game against Nõmme Kalju FC. The Scottish team sorted it out in the first leg, where the home team won 5-0.
The return leg ended up in a 0-2 win for Celtic. Now, the Scottish proceed to Qualification Round 3 of the League.
Shved's first appearance for Celtic took place in the second half. One of the two goals in this game became his achievement; he scored shortly before the full time.
In February, Shved officially signed in with Celtic FC. The talented winger of Karpaty Lviv signed the contract for 4.5 years, becoming the asset of the Scottish team. The young Ukrainian football talent graduated from Karpaty Lviv's football school. His professional debut took place in the 2014-2015 season. In 2015, he left Karpaty and moved to Sevilla. He spent two years there, failing to make it to the starting eleven. Shved returned to Karpaty in 2017, scoring 14 goals on 32 games, including two goals in the game against Dynamo Kyiv. He also has performed for the national team of Ukraine.
