A UEFA Champions League game took place in Kyiv, at NSC Olimpiysky. Shakhtar Donetsk hosted Inter FC.
After an unexpected triumph against Real Madrid, Luis Castro kept the same line-up of players that stood against the Spaniards. However, unlike Zinedine Zidane's team, Inter did not not leave their opponents enough space to act but could not breach their defense, either.
Guests stuck to Shakhtar's goals right from the start of the match. Young goalkeeper Trubin proved his efficiency, withstanding Inter's attacks along with his fellow defense men. In the first half, Italians hit the crossbar twice - at first, Barella landed a shot after the pass from Lukaku; then, Lukaku himself landed a shot from free kick. Neitehr of the attacks succeeded.
In the second half, guests carried on, but Shakhtar held the line skillfully.
Thus, Shakhtar and Inter continue to lead the way in their group, with four and two points, respectively. Next week, Shakhtar is to stand against Borussia Dortmund, and Inter will face Real Madrid.
