On September 14, Kyiv hosts the Round 1 fixture of UEFA Champions League group stage. The Ukrainian team will stand against SL Benfica, and the game will be played at the NSC Olimpiysky stadium.
The champions of Ukraine are about to start the new season in European competitions, and the match against Benfica is to be the first serious test for Kyivites. Prior to that, Dynamo proceeded in the national championship with confidence, and yet they did not play against serious opponents from Europe, except for a friendly game with Inter Milan.
Playing against Benfica will be tough, but there's still a chance to get what Dynamo needs. Ironically, there's one Ukrainian who could hinder any plan that Dynamo comes up with; Roman Yaremchuk joined Benfica this summer for 15 million Euros, abandoning Belgium for Portugal. He already contributed to his new team's success with three goals and two assists so far. So Dynamo might want to keep an eye on him.
