The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has blocked tickets for English fans for the game with Ukraine in Rome within the Euro 2020 as DW reported citing the Ministry of the Interior of Italy.
It is reported that the sale of tickets to English fans for the game on July 3 in Rome was stopped and the sold tickets are blocked. Such measures were assumed to prevent the English fans from entering Italy bypassing the quarantine rules.
Moreover, after the appeal of the Italian authorities to the UEFA, the sale of the tickets for the match was stopped for people who stay in the UK for the last 14 days.
These steps are tied with the five-day quarantine acting in Italy for people who come from the UK due to the spread of the Delta coronavirus strain. The fans cannot insert in the quarantine rules as the match should take place on June 3.
As we reported, Ukrainian football fans will not be able to get to the match of the national team with England due to restrictions on entry to Italy, where the game will take place.
The Ukraine-England match of this year's European Football Championship will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on July 3. For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, Ukrainian footballers reached the 1/4 finals, having previously beaten the Swedish national team with a score of 2: 1.
