Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska played a game in Round 2 of Australian Open.

Carla Suarez Navarro, the 23rd tennis player in the world’s ranking, was the opponent of an 18-year-old Ukrainian. Yastremska started the game well, she won the first set. In the second one, the Ukrainian called the score 3:1, but then lost nine rallied in a raw. The Spanish settled the score. Yastremska won five games in a war in the thirds set and won.

Dayana Yastremska has made the 1/16 of Grand Slam Tennis finals.

An 18-year-old Ukrainian will play in the 1/16 Australia Open final with the winner of the pair Eugenie Bouchard – Serena Williams.

Earlier, Ukraine’s tennis player Elina Svitolina won the Round 2 in the Australian Open.

As it was reported, Lesya Tsurenko, the Ukrainian tennis player is now out of Australian Open; she lost the Round 2 fixture of the tournament, succumbing to the pressure of Amanda Anisimova.
