14-year old Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk won in the Australian Open junior tournament. It was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee on its Facebook page.

"The outstanding victory of the Ukrainian tennis player! Marta Kostyuk won the Australian Open junior tournament, beating top seed Swiss racket Rebeka Masarova in the finals!” the message says.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko congratulated the tennis player with a victory, noting that it is for the first time in history when Ukrainian became the champion of the junior Australian Open.

The 14-year-old Ukrainian tennis player defeated Russian Elena Rybakina at the semifinals to win this tournament.
