Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska got into the second round of Australian Open. In the first match, she defeated Slovenian athlete Kaja Juvan. It was a dominant victory for Yastremska, which resulted in a 6:1, 6:1 score, according to the tournament’s website.
Diana has confidently started the first Grand Slam tournament this year, beating her opponent by every measure. This is evidenced by the duration of the match - 56 minutes.
Svitolina, Kozlova and Bondarenko will also represent Ukraine on the tennis court. At this moment, Ukraine has a 1:1 score: Yastremska defeated Juvan, Tsurenko was not able to deal with Ashley Barty, who had earlier outplayed Dayana.
As we reported earlier, Yatremska lost to the first world racket Ashley Barty in the final of the WTA tournament in Adelaide.
Australian confidently won the first set. And although Yastremskaya succeeded in imposing a challenge, this did not affect the result - Barty's victory was reached with a score of 6:2, 7:5.
The prize fund of the competition was 848,000 dollars.
