Ukraine’s tennis player Elina Svitolina played in the Round 2 in the Australian Open.

Viktória Kužmová from Slovakia was her opponent. She was “fighting” against Svitolina for a long time in the first set, but lost her fifth serve which cost her the game. Svitolina beat her opponent losing just one game in the second set.

Svitolina will confront the 42nd number in the world’s rating, Zhang Shuai from China in Round 3. The game is scheduled for January 18.

Another Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska will have a game with Carla Suárez Navarro today, on January 17.

As it was reported, Lesya Tsurenko, the Ukrainian tennis player is now out of Australian Open; she lost the Round 2 fixture of the tournament, succumbing to the pressure of Amanda Anisimova.
