Hard work is the way to success. This is how Ukraine’s top tennis player Elina Svitolina referred to her progress in the Australian Open, where she made it to the quarterfinals – for the first time in her career.
‘Of course, I imagine myself as the world’s No.1. On the other hand, I never forget one has to bust his guts to get to the top. There are no shortcuts there. Everybody wants that and tries hard. So there’s no other way to it but to work hard. You’ve got to show up at the pitch, do your job the best you can, hold out until the end and keep it up,’ Svitolina said.
Previously, the Ukrainian defeated Czech Denisa Allertova in two sets (6:3, 6:0).
In the quarterfinals, Elina Svitolina will face Belgian athlete Elise Mertens.
