Match of the sixth racket of the world Ukrainian Elina Svitolina and representative of Poland Magda Linette opened the eighth game day at one of the central arenas of the Roland Garros tournament - Suzanne Lenglen court.

The girls had to play yesterday, but because of the rain they got an extra day off. After the victory over Svetana Pironkova Ukrainian tennis player met with the fans and was in good mood.

The first set was easy for Svitolina. At the beginning, Elina made a break and confidently played, thereby destroyed the chances of her opponent to win back the lost game. A little more than half an hour Ukrainian player needed to take the first step toward the final victory - 6: 4.

In the second game, Svitolina began to attack less aggressively and the 94th world racket Magda Linette used it immediately. The Polish tennis player got into the fight and even got to the breakpoints, but with no result. With a score of 5: 5 on her pitch, Svitolina lost two starting points. Then she showed a champion's character and the game ended without any chance for Linette - 6: 4, 7: 5.

Elina Svitolina third time in a row enters the 1/8 finals of Roland Garros. Now Eina registered a record (34th) victory in the season and after the tournament has a good chance to reach the fifth line of the world ranking.
