Ukraine's karate fighter Terlyuga won the silver medal of Tokyo Olympics. In the final fixture, the Ukrainian went toe-to-toe with Bulgarian athlete Ivet Goranova who eventually won (5-1).

Now, Ukraine holds nine medals of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Earlier, Zhan Beleniuk made the fans in Ukraine and abroad as happy as they could possibly be, collecting the first gold in these Olympic Games for his team and country. He triumphed in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition (weight category of up to 87 kilograms).

In the final fixture, Beleniuk faced Viktor Lorincz from Hungary. He defeated his opponent in a confident manner (5:1), claiming first gold medal for Ukraine's Olympic team. 

Prior to that, Ukraine collected its second silver award in the final fixture of Greco-Roman wrestling competition during the ongoing Summer Olympics in Tokyo
