Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga announced the state of emergency in Tokyo. This is why the Olympics will be taking place without supporters on sport arenas, Associated Press reported.

According to Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike, the fans will be banned from visiting stadiums and arenas in Tokyo, when the Olympics will kick off in two weeks. “Many people were looking forward to watching the games at the venues, but I would like everyone to fully enjoy watching the games on TV at home. It’s gut-wrenching because many people looked forward to watching at the venues", she said.
